Terms and Conditions

General

Terms and Conditions of Sale are important because they create certainty between both parties. They detail the responsibilities of both ourselves ("The Seller") and you, ("The Buyer").

Our terms and conditions comply with existing legislation including the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended); the Consumer Credit Act 1974, if appropriate, (as amended) and any legislation relating to restrictive trade practices.For all business transactions between the Buyer and the Seller, the terms and conditions of Renaissance Renovations apply.

All orders for purchase are on condition that these terms are accepted by the purchaser at the time an order is being placed. Renaissance Renovations accepts no liability for any product or service advertised, supplied or otherwise promoted on this site by any third party.
Renaissance Renovations does not warrant that any of the goods or services linked to or advertised on this site comply with data protection or other relevant legislation and Renaissance Renovations accepts no liability whatsoever for any claim arising from such goods or services.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
Warranties & Guarantee of Quality of Goods Supplied

The Seller guarantees the product for 12 months from the day of purchase. We operate a full satisfaction policy and if you are not happy with the quality of the goods supplied when they are delivered we will take goods back immediately and refund any monies already paid to us minus the delivery charge. You should therefore satisfy yourself within 28 Days of delivery that goods are satisfactory, and if not, you should contact us within 28 days by email. Normal Manufacturer's guarantees also apply. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Before they buy goods Buyers should satisfy themselves that: Goods are of in perfect condition and should have no "unacceptable" defects, apart from those pointed out to you by the seller at the time of purchase; Goods are fit for the purpose for which you intend to use them - including any particular purpose you mention to the seller. For example, whether you intend to use a fireplace as a functional fitting, or purely for decorative non-functional purposes, you should ensure that the product you intend to purchase is fit for that purpose. Similarly, if you intend to burn a particular fuel (coal or a gas fire for example) you should ensure before buying that the product you intend to buy is capable of burning that fuel.
We are happy to advise and discuss compatibilities with you; Goods are as described - by the seller and/or in the catalogue descriptions on this website. Please note that any faults due to incorrect installation, negligence, rough handling or unfair treatment after receipt and acceptance of goods are not covered by guarantee. Basically, if the fault is clearly ours then Renaissance Renovations will honour all guarantees on our products. However, if the fault is the Buyer's we cannot be held responsible.

We are not responsible for any fitting costs of items should they need to replaced under warranty due to faults or the product failing.
Orders of Purchase

Fireplaces, fittings and accessories are available through direct orders made to us online. Filling in and sending the online Order Form does not in itself constitute a contract, and we reserve the right not to trade or deal, for any reason we deem fit, and at our sole discretion. However, once confirmation of an Order has been received by the Buyer from Renaissance Renovations for the purchase of goods, whether made in writing, verbally by telephone, by electronic means online, or by word of mouth, this will constitute a Legal Contract to purchase and supply between the Buyer and the Seller, and as such is subject to the Laws of Contract in the United Kingdom.
Dimensions and Specifications

While we have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information supplied on this website relating to dimensions and specifications, errors do sometimes occur. Therefore, stated dimensions should only be taken as a general guide, and the onus is upon the Buyer to check and ensure for himself/herself the accuracy of all information relating to the product in question. Due to the possibility of errors, any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any information given by us (including in relation to the price of the products) shall be subject to correction by us without your authority and we will not be responsible for any consequences arising from such inaccuracies.
Please note that all colours and finishes illustrated in our catalogue are approximations at best and that actual colours and finishes may vary from those shown. We reserve the right to change specifications where necessary.
Order Acceptance

The receipt by us of an Order from a prospective Buyer does not constitute the acceptance of an Order or confirmation of an offer to sell on our part. We reserve the right to refuse to sell at our own discretion and also reserve the right to limit the quantity of an Order for any item. Subject to the other Terms and Conditions contained on this web page, any Order shall only be deemed to have been accepted by Renaissance Renovations when we have expressly confirmed that we have accepted your Order.
Delivery & Pricing

Usually our products are delivered within 7 to 14 working days, you will be contacted of the lead time by email. Free standard delivery is available for the majority of orders over £250 to mainland UK. Additional delivery charges apply for orders to offshore islands. Purchases under this amount incur a nominal £20.00 delivery fee. If there is likely to be a problem with access for a large 7.5 tonne lorry, please contact us in advance of placing your order. Examples of areas that we cannot deliver palletised orders to are: long, gravelled drives, areas inside walled cities with height restrictions from all directions, narrow lanes. We will do everything we can to make alternative delivery arrangements if you contact us in advance.

If the carriers are unable to deliver to you, they will charge us for the failed delivery and the return of the product. If you have not told us of any potential problems, we shall have to hold you liable for these charges.
If you cancel an order after we have started to ship it, we regret that we have to make a shipping charge to return it to our warehouse, even if the products have not reached your address.

Dispatch for delivery can take up to two weeks in some instances longer, depending on availability, you will be emailed an estimated delivery date from our Customer Services team at the time you place your order. Cheque payments must be cleared before goods can be released from stock.
The carriers will normally contact you a day or two before delivering, to arrange a suitable delivery date and time. The carriers will only deliver the goods to the nearest entrance to your property; they will not be able to bring the goods inside. This is for insurance and health and safety reasons.
Delivery is usually made on a pallet if the order is large, or by courier delivery if the order is smaller.

Please ensure that there will be someone at the delivery address on the day scheduled for delivery, available to help the driver unload and take the items to the delivery destination.

Please do not sign for or accept any goods until unpacked and checked in full. Only sign if you are satisfied with the condition of your purchase. Items which have been signed for are deemed to be complete and in good condition, we ask you to thoroughly check all goods within 48 hours of receipt, after this time period it is difficult for us to accept claims for damage in transit or missing items. If goods are damaged and have been signed for in good condition we will require photographs of the damage.

All prices listed on this website are GROSS, including any appropriate taxes and in UK Pounds Sterling (£ or GBP), but excluding delivery charges which are added to the overall cost of items. Please note that our prices quoted do NOT include Delivery Charges. Any shipping costs are in addition to the quoted prices and need to be added to product prices.


Payment in other currencies (eg. In Euro) can be quoted for. All prices are subject to change without notice, but are fixed at the time of Order/Purchase to the advertised price at that time.  


Please ensure all floor surfaces are covered as heavy items are put in place using trolleys and barrows etc and we would not want to mark your wooden floor or carpet etc.


Renaissance Renovations will enter your property at your risk only and can not be held responsible for any damage should it occur
This also applies to carpets or wooden floors etc where they have not been covered


We offer this service wherever practical if you are expecting something large delivered such as limestone mantel or stove etc please make sure there is somebody to give the driver a hand as we only send one delivery person and he may need a hand on delivery with larger items to enter your property  

Refunds


Refunds will be given where fair and appropriate. The Buyer may not be entitled to any refund in the following circumstances: If they were told about the fault at the time of purchase;
If they examined the goods before they bought them, were satisfied with their quality at the time, and should have seen the fault for themselves;
If they did the damage themselves;
If they change their mind. However, as a sign of goodwill Renaissance Renovations may offer a refund, a credit note or an exchange at their discretion Responsibility & Ownership


All articles remain the property of Renaissance Renovations until payments are received in full.

Return of Goods Distance Selling Law


Customers have a 28 Day Cooling off period after delivery to decide if they wish to keep there items you are entitled to return any item for any reason during this time. Any Items that are made to measure are non refundable and any items that are non stock items are subject to 20% restocking fee It is the customers responsibility to ensure our goods are kept in there original wrapping and all items have not been fitted or used in any way.

Delivery costs to be paid by customer to return to us we can arrange collection at a cost to the buyer these costs vary by postcode please ring us to obtain collection quote before deciding if you wish to use your own return Company.

Any Items to be returned buyers must send letter or email within 28 days from delivery please use Invoice number so they can be identified on return to us any returned items without returns number will be refused. All moneys will be refunded within 7 days (minus the original delivery charge) after delivery to our registered address and when items have been checked for damage and condition.

Renaissance Renovations will not be responsible for the Delivery costs of returning the items to us and we recommend using an insured service as Renaissance Renovations Stoves etc need special handling and care. Any Faulty items reported within 30 Days will be replaced at our discretion after the 14 day "Cooling Off Period" None of the above Terms & Conditions affect your statutory rights under English law.

Fitting and Installation
Renaissance Renovations do not supply any fitting instructions to avoid DIY installation, fireplaces and stoves are not DIY projects. Any problems arising from incorrect installation are not covered under warranty
